Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is looking for a Retail Security Officer who can deliver exceptional customer service while creating a safe shopping environment that is free from fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

Pay rate: £12.60 per hour

Hours: Various shifts to be discussed at interview; weekend working is essential.

Job Overview: A Retail Security Officer will deter and respond to violence and public order offences, patrol the store, support the use of CCTV to reduce crime and stock loss, liaise with store management and, where required, with police and crime partners.

• Deliver industry-leading customer service
• Deterrence of violence and public order offences
• Conduct patrols of the store
• Utilise CCTV systems to support reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• Work with police and crime partnerships where required to support store safety
• Wear body‑worn CCTV to increase colleague and customer safety

Preferable:
Current SIA licence or SIA certificates.

Vetting requirement:
Full 5‑year checkable employment/education history. Failure to provide this may result in offer withdrawal or termination of employment.
