About Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientated Head of Quality to lead our Quality Assurance and Control Team. This hybrid role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures across manufacturing processes (QA focus), while also leading and managing the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control (QC) Team to support operational excellence.

This role does not have responsibility for the Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Monitor and verify that manufacturing processes comply with internal quality standards.
• Conduct audits, identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Develop and maintain QA documentation, including inspection protocols, test plans, and quality reports.
• Train operational staff on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate periodic reports, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support supplier quality assessments and incoming raw material inspections.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and enhancing product consistency.

Quality Control (QC)

• Lead, coach, and develop the QA/QC team to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Support the transition of in-line process control to Production teams, promoting ownership of quality at the source.
• Schedule and coordinate daily QC activities to meet production deadlines and priorities.
• Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and correct use of testing equipment and tools.
• Review and approve inspection results, non-conformance reports, and product release documentation.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Compliance teams to align quality strategies with business objectives.
• Stay current on industry regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.

About You:

An ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience, skills, and attributes. Please note that these competencies are not ranked in order of priority. Following criteria will be used in selecting a candidate.

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC practices, inspection methods, and root cause analysis tools.
• Proven leadership and people management experience, with the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
