Our Public Sector Audit team is a well‑established market leader, providing external audit to local government, NHS and other public‑sector bodies, supported by specialist teams.

You will:

• Lead audit engagements for public‑sector clients, ensuring high quality and tight governance.
• Submit and review audit documentation and reports, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/FRS
  102.
• Use audit software and Microsoft packages to manage engagement data efficiently.
• Communicate audit findings and business challenges to clients, fostering strong relationships.
• Develop technical knowledge and facilitate discussions with clients on value creation.

The minimum criteria for this position are:

• A professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with post‑qualification experience.
• Confidence managing a large portfolio of audit clients.

Additional desirable skills include:

• Experience managing audits for public‑sector bodies and dealing with complex technical matters.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with IFRS and auditing listed companies.
• Advanced audit software and Microsoft package skills.
