AboutThe Role
Join our well‑established and rapidly expanding team within PwC’s Supply Chain and Procurement group, specialising in delivering transformative solutions to Government sector clients. This Manager Consultant role is at the forefront of driving value and excellence across the commercial and procurement lifecycle.
What Your Days Will Look Like- Deliver procurement projects aligned to Public Sector regulations and best practice (e.g. Procurement Act 2023, Sourcing Playbooks) including delivery model assessments, category strategies and procurement strategies.
- Run procurements from early market engagement through to contract award.
- Implement effective contract management and strategic supplier relationship management.
- Conduct cost analyses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and develop cost‑management strategies that align with client objectives.
- Analyse current operational practices, identify areas for improvement and lead change‑management efforts to streamline commercial and procurement processes.
- Guide clients through digital transformation journeys for their commercial and procurement functions, identifying opportunities for automation, data analytics and advanced technologies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, lead project teams, manage timelines and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
- Experience in Public Sector procurement, cost reduction, operations improvement and digital transformation (Transport, Central Government, Arm‑Length Bodies, Local Government).
- Hands‑on experience of public sector procurement regulations (PCR, UCR) and a deep understanding of the Procurement Act 2023.
- Proven track record delivering successful consulting or industry projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with data‑driven insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in relevant tools (data analytics software, source‑to‑pay solutions used in the public sector).
- Ability to travel as required for client needs.
