About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Audio-Visual Event Technician to join our technical events team based in Birmingham. You'll be responsible for supporting a wide range of live, virtual and hybrid events from set‑up to breakdown, ensuring equipment operates smoothly and events deliver an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, test, and de‑rig AV, lighting, video and staging equipment for events.
Transport and maintain AV inventory in workshop and on‑site.
Troubleshoot technical faults before and during events to ensure seamless delivery.
Work closely with event managers, production teams and clients to meet technical requirements
Always follow health & safety and electrical safety best practices.
Provide out‑of‑hours support when required (evenings/weekends).

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in live events, AV support, or production environments.
Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, lighting and staging systems.
Good problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills under pressure.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Flexible approach to work schedule (evenings/weekends/travel).
