Shirley Parsons have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – 66 kV, to support HV operations within a leading offshore wind farm environment.
This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a high-performing HV & Transmission Systems team, delivering safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations across substations, turbines, and the wider network.
What you’ll do- Perform HV switching operations, 66 kV turbine maintenance, and provide SAP coverage across substations.
- Safely operate and manage the HV / LV network, including issuing safety documentation, isolation, earthing, switching, and system reinstatement.
- Coordinate operational and safety procedures with the grid operator and act as Safety Coordinator / Authorised Person for boundary operations.
- Support the HV Control Room, oversee contractors, and carry out equipment maintenance to manufacturer standards.
- Assist operations management and OFTO reporting, while maintaining competence and ensuring secure, efficient development of HV / LV and mechanical systems.
- HV Authorised Person certified up to 66 kV.
- Completed Electrician Apprenticeship.
- Experience as a Senior Authorised Person under a European Developer HV Safety Rules.
- Physically fit with the ability to climb as required.
- Flexibility with working patterns, including participation in on-call rotas.
- Strong communication, planning, and reporting skills.
- Experience with in Wind Farms, Power Plants, Oil & Gas, or similar industries.
- HV fault-finding and analytical expertise.
