Associate / Associate Director - Structures - Energy
Join WSP as we expand our leadership team with experienced professionals ready to take a strategic role in shaping the future of UK energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the structural design and delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects, including Transmission and Distribution networks, OHL systems, power stations, and other critical energy assets.
- Provide strategic input into project planning, resourcing, and risk management.
- Deliver structural solutions for substations, transmission and distribution facilities, OHL structures, and power stations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Contribute to business development, including bids, proposals, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions.
- Support the development of best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for infrastructure.
Essential Qualifications & Experience- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional body.
- Significant experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and client‑facing skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
