We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to help optimise production, enhance quality, and support the industrialisation of exciting new aerospace programmes. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team that thrives on technical challenge, innovation, and delivering right-first-time results.
What You’ll Do
* Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
* Lead continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and drive Right First Time (RFT) performance.
* Support New Product Introductions (NPI) from concept through to production, including tooling, process validation, and documentation.
* Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and seamless production transitions.
* Apply APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC principles to achieve exceptional product and process control.
* Develop and implement new tooling, fixtures, and gauges to enhance process capability and operator efficiency.
* Drive problem-solving activities using 8D, DMAIC, and root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
* Ensure all activities align with AS9100 and customer-specific quality standards.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, defence, automotive, or other high-precision sectors.
* A degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of process capability, control, and continuous improvement tools.
* Proven experience with Lean, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping techniques.
* Confident interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
* Skilled communicator who can influence and engage across functions and levels.
Desirable Extras
* Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
* Experience with ERP systems and special processes such as forging, heat treatment, or machining.
* Professional registration (Eng Tech, IEng, or CEng).
What’s in It for You
* Be part of a business delivering cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing solutions.
* Join a supportive, high-performing team that values innovation and collaboration.
* Work on exciting NPI and process improvement projects that truly make an impact.
* Enjoy genuine opportunities for professional development and career growth.
