Location:
Birmingham city centre (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Salary: 36k - 46k + benefits
Emtech are working with a UK Wide Engineering Consultancy with 500+ staff who are looking for a Highways Engineer to join their midlands based Civil Engineering team. You will be working on a range of projects under the support of a Chartered Engineer.
Due to recent successes the team is growing and offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate seeking a new challenge within a growing company. You will form part of an existing team to deliver a varied programme of highway and transportation schemes for a wide range of private & public sector clients across both local and strategic highway networks.
Key Responsibilities- 2-5 years experience within a similar highway design role
- Developing highway designs in accordance with the DMRB using AutoCAD or Civils 3D.
- Production of technical reports as required
- Undertaking S278 & S38 design work for development projects
- Undertaking services within an engineering environment which may include (but not limited to) scheme investigation, site inspections, data collection and analysis, works/construction inspections and supervision to progress scheme design, development and construction
- Drainage design experience useful but not essential
- Management of work packages with scope to move up to managing small schemes
- Client liaison as necessary to deliver the schemes/projects
