• Undertake structural engineering design for discrete packages of work, including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications.
• Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions.
• Communicate design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations.
• Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase, and to assess existing structures.
• Report directly to the lead structural engineer for the projects you are involved with.
• Engage with multidisciplinary design teams, including external consultants, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

• An engineering degree and progression towards Chartered status (MIStruct
  
  E / MICE).
• Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes.
• Developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software.
• Interest in low‑carbon design and the assessment of embodied carbon in design solutions.
• Willingness to take responsibility for your designs, be proactive and support less experienced team members.
• Successful applicants must be security‑cleared prior to appointment.
