About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the design, technical development, and fabrication of themed entertainment projects, immersive experiences, attractions, and bespoke creative builds. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, fabricators, and project managers to deliver technical solutions that are safe, buildable, cost-effective, and fully aligned with creative intent.

Key Responsibilities

* Support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle—from concept development through detailed design, prototyping, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.

* Produce and review technical drawings, schematics, 3D models, and engineering documentation.

* Work with creative and design teams to translate concepts into robust technical solutions that satisfy mechanical, structural, electrical, and safety requirements.

* Liaise with fabrication teams (carpentry, metalwork, scenic, mechanical/electrical) to ensure manufacturability and technical feasibility.

* Conduct material selection, component sizing, engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and risk assessments.

* Assist with the development of BOMs, technical specifications, fabrication packs, and installation documentation.

* Provide technical input to project managers on planning, timelines, procurement, and progress reporting.

* Participate in prototype builds, FATs, on-site installations, commissioning, and system testing.

* Ensure all engineered solutions meet UK building regulations, CE/UKCA compliance, and relevant health & safety standards.

* Troubleshoot technical issues during fabrication and installation phases.

Technical & Professional Requirements

* Strong proficiency in CAD and engineering software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).

* Good understanding of fabrication processes including welding, metal fabrication, joinery, scenic construction, and mechanical/electrical integration.

* Familiarity with load calculations, structural analysis, mechanical systems, motion systems, and interactive elements.

* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in design–build environments.

* Ability to read, interpret, and produce detailed technical drawings and fabrication packages.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially under tight deadlines.

* Knowledge of UK safety standards, engineering regulations, and certification requirements.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information
