The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our clients growing team. This is a leadership role where you will guide complex projects, mentor talented engineers, and collaborate with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative structural solutions.

What you ll do
  • Lead the design and delivery of major structural engineering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, and healthcare.

  • Provide technical leadership, ensuring designs are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective.

  • Manage client relationships, contributing to business development and winning new work.

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

  • Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated, holistic design solutions.

What we re looking for
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or IStruct

    E.

  • Significant experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.

  • Strong technical expertise in steel, concrete, timber, and emerging sustainable materials.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships.

  • Passion for sustainability and innovation in the built environment.
