We are working with a range of organisations to design and build a 90km stretch of HS2 West Midlands – Britain’s new high‑speed railway. The role will be based on site in Birmingham (travel to surrounding areas).

• Sole representative for the implementation of the carbon action plan within the region.
• Manage and report on regional Carbon performance, including data management and production of slides for client and internal updates.
• Communicate with the delivery team and suppliers to maximise the reduction of carbon emissions during BBV works.
• Carry out carbon‑based site inspections to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage all data associated with carbon performance and identify areas of weakness and opportunities.
• Help manage environmental opportunities and financial/programme/reputational risks to the project.
• Support line manager in activities to enable construction.
• Fully understand the legal and client requirements/conditions of contract, as they relate to environmental sustainability issues.

• Sound understanding of environmental legislation and principles of environmental management systems, with specific reference to climate change and carbon.
• Experience of the benefits of working collaboratively to develop and implement carbon saving initiatives.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Current valid right to work in the UK.
