Owing to continued demand and our ambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit Estimators and Senior Estimators with proven experience across the Infrastructure (Rail, Highways, Power, Marine, Water or Utilities) sector.

The Midlands region supports a wide range of major programmes and portfolios of work over the next few years and beyond. Estimating opportunities are available across the region within our Birmingham and Nottingham offices. Estimators at Turner & Townsend work as an embedded resource within a client organisation or on ad-hoc pieces of work for multiple clients across the Infrastructure sector as part of the Turner & Townsend Estimating Hub.

Where workload requires, Estimators may work remotely (within region) on estimating tasks for clients nationally or internationally.

Our team delivers a wide range of Estimating and Commercial Intelligence outputs to support client decision making, including:

• Estimate Production (from Order of Magnitude estimates through to detailed estimates built up from first principles)
• Estimating Assurance
• Estimating Support to Major Programme Set up
• Data analysis and benchmarking

• Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner
• Control and management of the estimating process at project level
• Production of estimates without management or supervision
• Assist with the gathering and sharing of estimating data
• Support development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
• Assist in achieving departmental objectives
• Stay abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to provide best practice advice aligned with business objectives

• Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
• Experience of providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment
• Previous experience using estimating software packages
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards
• Desirable: membership of RICS / CIOB / ACostE
