Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking to take a lead role on a major design and build rail infrastructure project, delivering one of the UK's largest new train depot developments?
This is an opportunity to join a nationally significant infrastructure programme at a critical stage, working on the Washwood Heath(pa depot in Birmingham. Valued at around £500m, the project spans the full lifecycle from detailed design through construction and into testing and commissioning, offering long term involvement and meaningful technical responsibility.
The organisation operates at the centre of UK rail investment, delivering complex, high profile assets that will support future rail operations for decades. It is known for managing large, multidisciplinary programmes and for investing heavily in engineering capability, governance and professional development.
In this role you will lead elements of engineering delivery across a complex mix of civils, buildings and rail works. You will work within an NEC contract environment, coordinating designers, contractors and stakeholders, managing interfaces and technical risk, and ensuring delivery aligns with programme, safety and quality requirements.
This position would suit a Lead Project Engineer with design and build rail infrastructure experience, now seeking a role with greater influence, progression and exposure to a flagship national programme.
The Role:- Lead engineering delivery across design, construction, testing and commissioning phases
- Coordinate civils, rail systems and multidisciplinary engineering activities within a.review environment
- Manage technical interfaces, risk, assurance activities and.
APP under NEC contracts - Work closely with project managers, designers and contractors to resolve engineering challenges
- Support integration of the depot works within the wider rail infrastructure programme
- Experience as a Lead or Senior Project Engineer on design and apa practical infrastructure projects
- Proven experience working Meditation within an NEC contract environment
- Strong understanding of civils, rail and multidisciplinary engineering delivery
- Confident communicator able to lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders
- Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience, with a collaborative anddecode proactive approach
