🚀 Join a High-Performing Finance Team as Senior Finance Manager

Are you a seasoned finance professional ready to make a real impact? A rapidly growing and well-regarded professional services firm in Birmingham is looking for a dynamic Senior Finance Manager to lead financial operations and drive strategic growth.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the business while collaborating with senior leadership across the Group.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations with precision and speed
  • Deliver insightful management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis
  • Manage VAT returns and support corporation tax filings with external advisors
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning
  • Liaise with auditors for year‑end requirements
  • Champion process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Mentor and develop junior finance team members
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
  • Support the evolution of finance systems (transitioning from SAGE to Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central)
  • Proven success in a high‑performing finance team
  • Strong grasp of UK GAAP, tax compliance, and financial regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
  • Experience in professional services (loss adjusting, insurance, legal, engineering)
  • Process improvement mindset and proactive problem‑solving skills
