Join our Client's dynamic finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of their finance department. You'll support various profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet tasks, contributing to the financial health and success of the organisation.
Responsibilities- Conduct month-end P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, covering areas such as bank, holiday pay, fleet, rent, rates, and management charges.
- Manage client reconciliations for parking charge and pay-and-display revenue, addressing client queries promptly and effectively.
- Oversee monthly self-billing processes, liaising with clients and ensuring accurate reconciliation of self-billing accounts.
- Assist in information gathering for reporting and audit purposes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by the Finance Lead, contributing flexibly to team objectives.
- GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent practical experience.
- Currently part-qualified or in the early stages of an accounting qualification.
- Demonstrates a proactive, positive, can-do attitude towards tasks and challenges.
- Strong work ethic, committed to completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Capable of working independently and self-motivated to achieve objectives.
- Effective at managing multiple priorities and tasks under pressure.
- Possesses an analytical and enquiring mindset, seeking continuous improvement opportunities.
- Currently pursuing or intending to pursue relevant accounting qualifications.
- Proficient in time management, organisation, prioritisation, and coordination skills.
- Advanced user of Excel, capable of handling complex financial data.
- Familiarity with accounting software for efficient task management.
- Takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating responsiveness and accountability.
- Committed to providing excellent client service, with strong communication skills.
- Values teamwork and collaboration, contributing positively to team dynamics.
- Upholds integrity, openness, and honesty in all interactions and decisions.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and sound judgement in decision-making processes.
