Senior Pharmacy Technician

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self‑motivated and committed Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the Dispensary Team. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well organised, work both independently and as part of a team, adapt to changing demands and be committed to providing a high quality patient‑focused service.

• Provide technical support to the dispensary, including the labelling and dispensing of inpatient requests, outpatient and discharge prescriptions, controlled drugs and clinical trials.
• Ensure a high standard of stock control and stock rotation within the dispensary.
• Assist pharmacists in providing comprehensive patient counselling services to all outpatients, optimising patient knowledge of their drugs.
• Assist the lead/Chief technician in technical support within the dispensary.
• Work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and maintain rapport with medical and other colleagues.
• Assist in training new and junior staff (e.g., trainee pharmacists, trainee technician students and pharmacy assistants).
• Counsel patients on their medicines in accordance with departmental standards.
• Enhance the quality of patient care and demonstrate a whole‑system patient‑focused approach.
