Senior Infrastructure Engineer role working for a UK leading eCommerce brand, backed by a household brand who are an iconic brand across the UK.

This is a broad role, working in a small high‑performing team and will suit someone who enjoys variety. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the company’s infrastructure and network platforms, both cloud‑based (AWS) and on‑prem.

This could be suited to an Infrastructure Engineer, Sys Admin, Network Engineer with Infrastructure and cloud experience.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions according to industry best practices.
• Manage VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization environments, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of both cloud (AWS, Azure) and on‑premises environments.
• Ensure network performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of quality and thoughtful design.

• Architect and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, Aurora RDS, Cloud Front, and WAF.
• Manage Azure services including Office 365, Intune MDM, and Exchange Online.
• Implement and maintain Azure Dev Ops pipelines and AWS deployment tools for CI/CD processes.
• Support Git Lab and Jenkins automation platforms.

• Administer and configure HP and Aruba network switches.
• Manage Meraki SD‑WAN infrastructure and Sophos XG firewall solutions.
• Configure and maintain remote VPN solutions for secure end‑user connectivity.
• Manage DNS infrastructure including BIND DNS, AWS Route
  53, and Windows DNS.

• Maintain and support Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange.
• Provide database administration for SQL Server (Microsoft), MySQL, Couchbase.
• Support and administer search solutions such as Apache SOLR and Elastic Search.
• Support specialized applications including Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP.

• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Datadog, Logstash/Kibana, Pager Duty, and Zabbix.
• Manage backup infrastructure using Veeam and Wasabi cloud storage.
• Administer Atlassian Jira and Confluence Cloud, including Jira Service Management.

• Work closely with development teams to produce and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and processes.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including business analysts, project managers, and subject matter experts.
• Mentor and support other members of the infrastructure team to improve skills and increase knowledge.
