Job Description

6 month contract within the public sector. Hybrid working – Birmingham base. £618 per day inside IR35. Active SC Clearance required.

Our public sector client is looking for an experienced and SC cleared Dev Sec Ops  Engineer to join them and work on a crucial project upgrading and enhancing a reporting tool.

Technical Experience

• Azure – PaaS and IaaS, IaaS to PaaS migration and refactor.
• Windows and Linux OS.
• Networking, Applications, Databases, Integration/APIs, Infrastructure, Software Development.
• .NET background advantageous.
• SQL and Postgres.
• Dev Ops – Azure Dev Ops, YAML pipelines.
• Containerisation – Docker, Kubernetes.
• IaC – ARM (Bicep), Terraform.
• Scripting – Power Shell, Bash.
• Source control – Git Hub.
• JIRA and Confluence.
• Virtualisation advantageous.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is

• A self‑starter, able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
• Analytical and inquisitive, focus on attention to detail, able to assess, formulate and mobilise a plan.
• Ability to work across multiple projects concurrently and context switch at short notice.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements or issues into simple layman's terminology for key stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
• Active SC clearance mandatory.
