Azure Senior Infrastructure Analyst

This role will help focus and shape our path in the Synergy strategy around our Platform for Future – and thus drive real-world impact on policing technology, allowing us to excel at our vision: to prevent crime, protect the public and help those in need.
The Service Management function within IT & Digital is responsible for the effective operation, support and maintenance of existing operational technology systems, including all Force applications, technology infrastructure (servers, databases, networks) and end‑user devices. The Cloud Services Team manages the Force’s Office 365 and Azure provisions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist technical skills and knowledge that facilitate the security, integrity, availability and performance of the Force’s Cloud Technologies mainly Microsoft 365 and Azure Technologies.
- Provide specialist technical skills and knowledge in Azure, including Subscriptions, Scale Sets, Virtual Machines, Storage, Sentinel and Backups.
- Provide specialist technical skills and knowledge to support and maintain Microsoft 365, including Teams, One Drive, Exchange Online, SharePoint.
- Support incident, configuration, availability, capacity, continuity and release management in line with the ITIL framework.
- Provide and disseminate specialist/technical advice on issues relating to the department, interpreting or assessing customer needs and exercising judgment to make decisions when solutions are not obvious.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies relating to the Azure Stack, including Subscriptions, Scale Sets, Virtual Machines, Storage, Sentinel and Backups.
- Demonstrable experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 to an enterprise level including Entra , Teams, One Drive, Exchange Online and SharePoint.
- Experience with Cloud Security products such as Defender and ATP.
- Experience supporting Windows technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS.
- Experience managing devices in Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) with prior knowledge of SCCM.
- Experience with identity management solutions such as SailPoint.
- Understanding of the ITIL framework.
