AI Governance & Ethics ManagerAt Kainos, we’re problem solvers, innovators, and collaborators – driven by the mission to create real impact. In this fast‑moving space, you will shape and lead client projects, advising on Responsible AI, governance, risk management, and policy. You will be a subject‑matter expert in AI ethics and governance, keep abreast of policy developments, and support our internal governance team. You may also engage in industry discussions, pre‑sales, and marketing.
Responsibilities• Lead AI governance initiatives for clients and internal projects.
• Provide expert advice on Responsible AI, policy, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft frameworks, policies, maturity assessments, impact assessments, and risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitate workshops, round tables, and stakeholder engagements to secure Responsible AI buy‑in.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, or other sales activities to shape offerings.
Minimum (Essential) Requirements- Deep knowledge of Responsible AI principles, practices, and trends, with experience implementing and ope rationalising AI ethics, risk and governance.
- Practical experience drafting AI frameworks and policies, maturity assessments, impact assessments, guardrails, risk identification and mitigation, benchmarking, agentic governance, and regulatory or compliance analysis.
- Experience contributing to proposals, bids, or other sales activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of leading workshops, round tables, or one‑on‑one sessions.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, think critically, and learn new concepts.
- Collaborative and growth mindset, with demonstrated positive impact on team ethos.
- Domain experience in the Healthcare sector.
- Industry or technical certifications in Responsible AI or AI Governance (e.g., IAPP, AIGP, SSCP, CISSP).
- Firm understanding of AI regulation and standards (GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO, NIST).
- Experience creating offerings or accelerators for Responsible AI (dashboards, frameworks, agents).
- Experience with AI security assurance, risk management, supply chain dependencies, third‑party assurance, and red‑team activities.
- Mentoring and coaching experience.
- Active participation in communities of interest (online groups, speaking, conferences).
