Senior Application Support Engineer – NEC Revenues & Benefits

We’re seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer with proven NEC Revenues & Benefits experience to join a local authority in Birmingham. This is a hands-on role covering 2nd/3rd line support, front-end administration, and leading annual billing processes.
Please note: NEC Revenues & Benefits experience is essential — this is a deal-breaker for the role.

What you’ll do:

Provide expert 2nd/3rd line support for NEC Revenues & Benefits
Lead and coordinate annual billing testing and troubleshooting
Manage front-end administration and configuration of NEC systems
Support upgrades, patches, and releases in collaboration with IT and vendors
Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively
Maintain documentation and contribute to the knowledge base

What we’re looking for:

Proven NEC Revenues & Benefits application support experience (essential)
Strong front-end administration and 3rd-party hosted system knowledge
Experience with annual billing cycles (highly desirable)
Previous work in local authorities or public sector environments (desirable)
Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
Eligible to pass a DBS check
