Role Overview

As AI Governance & Ethical Manager, your role will involve shaping and leading client projects and advising clients about Responsible AI, with a focus on AI governance, risk management and policy. In this capacity, you will act as a subject matter expert in AI ethics and AI governance.

As this is a fast‑moving space, you will be expected to keep track of the latest developments in AI policy, standards and regulation. You will leverage this knowledge to also advise our internal governance team and help to continuously improve our own policies, standards and best practices in responsible and ethical management of data and AI. In addition, there will be opportunity to upon occasion engage in industry engagements, pre‑sales and marketing support.

As AI Governance & Ethical Manager, you will have a direct positive impact on the development of our own technology and that of our clients. We are looking for someone with a strong background in governance and/or risk management, who understands Responsible AI and has a passion for it. Responsible AI practices in ethics and governance are in constant development and there will be room to learn, develop and grow.

You will be part of the Responsible AI team and work alongside colleagues to develop our approach.

Minimum (Essential) Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Responsible AI principles, practices, and trends as well as demonstrated experience implementing and ope rationalising AI Ethics, Risk and Governance.
  • For example: practical experience drafting Responsible AI frameworks and AI policies, maturity assessments, impact assessments, sustainability impact modelling, guardrails, risk identification and mitigations, benchmarking, agentic governance, and regulatory or compliance analysis.
  • Experience contributing to writing proposals, working on bids, or other sales activity where you have helped shape offerings and develop opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders in a variety of forms such as leading workshops, round tables, or 1:1 sessions and achieving Responsible AI buy‑in.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively and manage competing priorities in a dynamic setting, while thinking critically, taking in new perspectives, and learning new concepts.
  • Collaborative and growth mindset, along with demonstrable experience of contributing a positive impact to team ethos.
Desirable
  • Domain experience in the Healthcare sector.
  • Industry or technical certifications in Responsible AI or AI Governance such as IAPP, AIGP, SSCP, or CISSP.
  • Firm understanding of AI regulation, governance, and standards landscape including GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO & NIST Standards.
  • Experience creating offerings or accelerators to scale Responsible AI such as dashboards, frameworks, agents, or other tools.
  • Experience with AI security assurance such as risk management, supply chain dependencies and third‑party assurance, familiarity with industry / national / international standards, policy development, red‑team­ing or other technical competencies.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching members of a team and the wider community.
  • Active participant in communities of interest (ie online groups, speaking, conferences).
