NetSuite Engineer

Position Description

As a Net Suite Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining ERP and Suite Commerce Advanced “SCA” solutions for a global organization. This is a client facing collaborative role to help lead and implement Net Suite solutions, integrations, and system enhancements. You will work closely with organizational business units and cross functional technical teams on delivering B2C and B2B solutions. You'll be able to provide a strategic vision for the use of Net Suite throughout the company and help deliver value for our clients.

This position is located at the client site in Alexandria, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

• Ability to lead and deliver end-to-end solutions alongside a team of engineers.
• Leading role as Net Suite ERP and SCA engineer.
• Integral team member alongside Net Suite engineers, functional SMEs, and business analysis.
• Execute development requirements outlined in statement of work, technical requirements or user stories.
• Build relationships with clients to deliver successful projects on time and on budget.
• Participates in Scrum Agile development methodologies.
• Stays updated on new products and technologies including core Net Suite and eCommerce.
• Configures and customizes Net Suite Solutions and Integrations for B2C and B2B architecture to fit current client ecosystem.
• Educates internal and external audiences on Net Suite best practices.
• Partners with client on strategic roadmap with Net Suite as the ERP and center of business operations.
• Expected to collaborate with other cross functional teams in integration needs with Adobe Commerce, Events Platforms, CRM, CDP, and Data warehouse.
• Works alongside eCommerce, finance and accounting teams on Net Suite Integrations, configurations, and customizations.
• Conducts business process mapping and requirements gathering sessions with clients.
• Preparation of scope documents resulting from prospects / clients’ requirements gathering sessions.
• Problem solving skills to assess and troubleshoot issues that arise during application configurations, workflows, and scripting.
• Ensures information security protocols and practices are in place to protect unauthorized access and use of corporate data.
• Helps service delivery teams to ensure the agreed‑upon targets and standards are met.
• Identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiencies for clients.
• Effectively and proactively communicates risks to management and assists with the development of viable solutions to mitigate risk.
• Ability to work in a hectic, fast‑paced organization, and filled with high‑pressure situations daily.

• 5+ years of direct full life cycle Net Suite implementation+, upgrades, and support experience.
• 5+ years of developing eCommerce software solutions on Net Suite Suite Commerce Advanced.
• 5+ years’ experience with API (Soap, Rest) development and integration.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Net Suite administration, configuration, and customization.
• 3+ years’ experience with iPaaS Systems (Mule Soft, Celigo, Jitterbit, Boomi).
• In-depth knowledge of Net Suite modules, including Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory.
• Experience with workflows, user events, saves searches, scheduled scripts and map reduce scripts.
• Experience with Suite Script, Suite Flow, and Suite Analytics is a plus.
• Experience with custom implementation and JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.js, React.js, Node.js.
• Ability to lead functional and technical workshops including documenting requirements and use cases.
• Experience with Net Suite's Suite Cloud Developer Framework (SDF)
• Experience with Suite Script (1.0, 2.0), Suite Talk, Suite Flow, Integrations, and Reporting
• Experience with data conversions, migrations, interfaces / integrations, reporting, and customizations to Net Suite applications
• Experience working in a global business environment.
• Preferred Net Suite Suite Foundation, Application Developer, Web Services Developer, ERP Consultant Certifications
