Founding Engineer – AI Health Tech Startup (React Native)

Permanent | Remote (Europe) | €100k + Equity

We’re working with a fully funded early-stage Health Tech startup building a cross-platform mobile app that helps people improve their wellbeing through AI-driven coaching and behaviour-change tools. A working v1 of the product is already built, and we’re now looking for a Founding Engineer to take ownership of the mobile app and help drive it from prototype to polished, production-ready launch.

• Own the build, architecture and iteration of the React Native app (Expo).
• Ship quickly : turn concepts into stable, user-ready features.
• Work directly with the founder on product direction and technical decisions.
• Improve performance, reliability, and end-to-end user experience.
• Integrate deeper native iOS features where needed (notifications, sensors, voice).
• Collaborate across the stack when required (Python backend, Supabase).

• Expert-level React Native (Expo).
• Strong understanding of iOS / native integrations (Swift or deep platform knowledge).
• Experience with REST APIs , analytics, and real-time or data-intensive features.
• CI / CD exposure (EAS, Fastlane, Bitrise, Git Hub Actions).
• Bonus :
  Health Kit, VoIP, WebRTC, A / B testing, on-device ML, or AI integrations.

• Are self-directed and comfortable in a fast-moving 0→1 environment.
• Enjoy taking full ownership of a product and shaping its long-term architecture.
• Have genuine interest in wellbeing, behaviour-change, or AI-driven products.
• Are looking for a permanent role you can fully commit to, no side projects competing for focus.
• Want to be part of a small, collaborative founding team.

• Fully remote within Europe.
• Team based across Amsterdam and Barcelona.
• In-person meetups every ~8 weeks.
