Senior IT Platform Manager | Permanent | Birmingham | £60,000 – £65,500 + Benefits

For the largest infrastructure project in Europe, we are recruiting a Senior Platform Manager – Workplace, within the Platforms and Operations function. This role will be responsible for the infrastructure (compute, cloud, network) or Workplace Services (End user compute, digital workspace, meeting rooms). The Senior IT Platform Manager will deliver, maintain, and ensure the availability of critical infrastructure, and oversee supplier resources providing development and management services.

This role is hybrid working with 3-days per week onsite in Birmingham

• Design, operation, and performance of IT Infrastructure and Workplace Services Platform components – managing services, business objectives, financial and supplier performance
• Oversee planning, installation, maintenance and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure and workplace components – ensuring alignment to service expectations / security
• Support design and delivery of Infrastructure (compute, cloud, network) and Workplace Services (end user compute, digital workspace, meeting rooms), ensuring all support models are met
• Provide tech leadership to optimise the performance and outcomes of IT infrastructure and workplace services
• Provide tech leadership and management of suppliers and resources
• Ensure all problems in systems and services are anticipated, investigated and resolved
• Oversee resources from suppliers, ensuring the meeting SLAs, and KPIs, and direct the definition of IT infrastructure and Workplace Services objectives.

• Experience overseeing critical IT Infrastructure in a complex, multi-vendor organisation
• Experience managing an infrastructure delivery team
• Experience collaborating with and managing suppliers and vendors
• Experience of IT infrastructure and EUC tech
• Experience of Waterfall, Agile or Lead
• Ability to lead the deployment, configuration, and operation of IT infrastructure including cloud systems and networking
