AI Solutions Engineer (Contract) x 3

Contract (3 months) — Multiple positions

Day Rate: ~2 x £550 / day / 1 x £750 / day

Start - January 2026

Location:

UK-based, hybrid - must be commutable to London, Bristol, Glasgow or Birmingham

Travel:
Occasional UK travel for onsite workshops / client meetings (approx. 8–10 visits)

Deliver enterprise-level AI solutions with a strong focus on system design, prototyping, and practical delivery, working in a consultative, client-facing professional-services environment.

• Translate business problems into scalable AI / data-led solution designs
• Prototype and deliver enterprise-grade AI workflows and systems
• Work with large, multi-format data sets to extract value and insights
• Implement validation, bias-reduction and hallucination-control mechanisms
• Design indicators that trigger alerts or actions based on data patterns
• Collaborate with delivery and client stakeholders across projects

• Mid to senior level software engineering experience with strong hands on capability in Python and or another modern language, producing production quality code.
• Practical experience building solutions using generative AI and LLMs, including prompt and flow design, retrieval augmented generation, tool and function calling, evaluation, and iteration.
• Experience applying agentic AI patterns such as multi step orchestration and tool usage, planning and execution workflows, state management, and safety approaches appropriate to the use case.
• Strong background in system & solution design (enterprise scale)
• Hands-on delivery of AI / ML and data engineering solutions
• Experience processing large-volume, multi-source structured & unstructured data
• Ability to work with short- to mid-term customer-level datasets (incl. scanned / long-form docs)
• AWS ecosystem preferred (Sage Maker beneficial)
• Self-motivated, pragmatic, able to operate in consultative delivery environments
