This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and hands‑on technical leadership within a dynamic industrial environment.
About the Role
As the IT Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation’s entire IT function, ensuring robust systems, secure infrastructure, and the effective delivery of technology that supports business operations. You will work closely with senior leadership to shape the company’s IT roadmap while managing day-to-day systems, projects, and external suppliers. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical grounding and the ability to lead, influence, and modernise IT within a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and systems.
* Lead IT planning, strategy, and project delivery aligned with business objectives.
* Manage relationships with third‑party vendors, MSPs, and software providers.
* Ensure the reliability and security of business-critical manufacturing systems.
* Lead on cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
* Support ERP, MES, and other manufacturing-related applications.
* Provide hands-on technical expertise where required and support end users across the business.
* Manage IT budgets, licences, procurement, and technology refresh cycles.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as an IT Manager or Senior IT Lead, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of infrastructure, networks (LAN/WAN), and server technologies.
* Experience supporting manufacturing systems (ERP/MES) is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and system hardening.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and lead technology change.
* A proactive, solutions-focused individual with a passion for continuous improvement.
