We are delighted to announce that we are looking for Paralegals to join us in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

Assessment Centre:
February 2026 – successful candidates will be invited to attend.

Location:

Birmingham, United Kingdom. You will be expected to come into the office five times a week during probation, after which a hybrid pattern may be considered.

Responsibilities

As a Paralegal at CSG you are expected to provide a timely, professional and high‑quality service to our clients in the management of pre‑litigated and litigated recovery cases.

  • Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions.
  • Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects.
  • Manage a varied caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated work.
  • Assess liability and quantum and develop an appropriate strategy for the case.
  • Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
  • Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other court documents.
  • Maintain contact with clients and their customers while proactively managing expectations.
Qualifications
  • Graduates or those with customer service/retail experience; team players with a passion for learning.
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to structure time and recognise when to seek help.
  • Interpersonal skills – communication to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues.
  • Analytical skills – ability to critically examine evidence, identify key arguments and apply them.
  • Commercial sense – know when it is worth pursuing a claim.
  • Resilience – stand ground in telephone negotiations and handle feedback.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm; professional attitude.
  • Alignment with the firm’s Cultural Principles:

  • Experience in a legal environment (desirable).
