Property Litigation Senior Associate 7+ PQE | Leading National Firm | Birmingham

They are seeking a Senior Associate with 7+ years' PQE in Property Litigation to join their growing team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse and interesting caseload, providing property dispute resolution services to a wide range of public and private sector clients.

The Property Litigation team is one of the firm's key growth areas, with a track record of success in high-profile cases and an expanding client base. Based in Birmingham, the team operates as a national unit and works collaboratively on significant client matters. The team is recognised for its expertise in property disputes and regularly handles cases in the courts and tribunals up to the Court of Appeal.

The Role

As a Senior Associate, you will:

  • Manage a varied caseload of complex property litigation matters, including both contentious and non-contentious issues.
  • Advise clients across both the public and private sectors on a wide range of property disputes, including lease termination, easement rights, boundary disputes, and adverse possession.
  • Handle litigation in UK courts and tribunals, regularly working on cases in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and the Court of Appeal.
  • Provide strategic advice on emerging areas such as the Building Safety Act 2022 and residential leasehold management, including service charges, forfeiture, and section 20 consultations.
  • Mentor and supervise junior colleagues, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, helping the team drive growth and new client relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver commercially-focused, practical legal solutions.
About You

You will be a qualified solicitor with:

  • 7+ years' PQE in Property Litigation, with strong technical knowledge of contentious property issues such as leasehold disputes, boundary matters, and easements.
  • Proven experience advising on a wide range of residential and commercial property disputes.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A commercial, practical approach to property litigation with an ability to think strategically.
  • Confidence in managing your own caseload and liaising directly with clients.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues.
  • A genuine interest in business development and building long-term client relationships.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to the firm's values and culture.
