What you’ll be doing- Working closely with a small team of managers to keep the store running like clockwork every day.
- Taking responsibility for day‑to‑day store operations, often being the only manager on site with full accountability.
- Ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely, completing all tasks with a strong customer focus.
- Managing people: coaching performance, conducting disciplinary reviews, scheduling, pay accuracy and capability development.
- Supporting other convenience stores when required in a close‑knit network.
- Previous line management experience in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Delivered brilliant customer service, coaching a team to do the same.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed KPIs – sales, availability, customer satisfaction or colleague engagement.
- Managed disciplinary and employee relations issues confidently.
- Operates effectively alone in the absence of senior management.
- Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues.
- Experience leading a team in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment with motivation, performance and smooth operations.
- Operational leadership skills – taking responsibility for store operations when senior managers are absent.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs – sales, availability, customer satisfaction or colleague engagement.
- Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
- Salary will be competitive based on experience and store size, complexity and location.
