An established and respected children’s residential care provider is seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to take strategic oversight of 4–5 homes across Birmingham. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to lead regional growth, enhance service quality, and ensure excellence across all operational and regulatory areas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction across multiple residential sites, ensuring alignment with organisational vision and Ofsted standards.
- Develop and deliver a regional growth strategy, including new service openings and optimisation of existing homes.
- Lead, mentor, and empower Registered Managers to deliver consistently high-quality, child-centred care.
- Maintain robust governance and accountability frameworks as the Responsible Individual (RI).
- Analyse performance metrics and operational data to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with senior leadership to shape and influence long-term service delivery models.
- Proven track record in senior operational leadership within children’s residential care.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory and safeguarding frameworks, with the ability to hold RI registration.
- Commercially astute, with experience driving growth while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Strong strategic thinker who balances people leadership with business performance.
- Excellent communicator, capable of building credibility across all levels internally and externally.
Salary:
Up to £80,000 (depending on experience).
