Facilities and Operations Manager – University of Birmingham Enterprise Ltd
Full Time, Permanent, Closing Date: 2nd February 2026.
We are looking for a proactive Facilities and Operations Manager to lead site operations, compliance and customer service for our community of research companies at Birmingham Research Park.
Responsibilities- Work on site, overseeing day‑to‑day facilities and front‑of‑house services.
- Lead planned and reactive maintenance services to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Take accountability for site health, safety and compliance.
- Manage budgets, supplier contracts and sustainability initiatives.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience for tenants and visitors.
- Experience in managing teams and facilities operations.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, planned maintenance and risk management.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- IOSH or equivalent training (available).
- IT proficiency and ability to manage budgets effectively.
Other requirements: ability to work flexibly within a diverse operational team, support staff wellbeing, maintain accurate records, strong teamwork, and excellent written and verbal skills.
Salary£36,500–£42,250 p.a. depending on experience, plus a bonus up to 15% p.a. (half company‑based, half individual).
