Maintenance Engineer – Thorn Baker Construction

Location: Birmingham, England, United Kingdom

Hours: 37 hours/week (3‑shift rotation: 6‑2, 2‑10, 10‑6)

• Maintain electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and material handling systems
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Ensure full compliance with HSE and LOTO procedures
• Carry out safety checks and maintain documentation
• Recommend process/equipment improvements to enhance performance
• Participate in shift‑based cover and emergency call‑outs as required

• Previous experience in high‑volume manufacturing (e.g. Automotive or Food)
• Strong background in electrical/mechanical engineering
• Robotics experience essential (e.g. KUKA, Fanuc)
• Familiar with ISO
  9001 and IATF
  16949 quality standards
• Excellent fault‑finding skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset
• Flexible approach to shift work and business needs
