CNC Operator Milling - Day Shifts

We are recruiting for a CNC operator at a leading engineering company based in Central Birmingham. The role offers a career on day shifts with an innovative team providing engineering solutions across the UK.

• Operate, load and monitor CNC milling machines and equipment
• Deburr and quality inspect parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure components meet specifications
• Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometres and verniers to check and maintain quality standards
• Work with a range of materials
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency and safety at all times
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve technical or machining issues
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organised
• Meet production lead times

• Proven experience as a CNC operator is a must
• Experience with milling machines in an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read, interpret and work from technical or engineering drawings
• Hands‑on experience operating CNC milling machines
• Skill in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometres, verniers, etc.)
• Experience working with a variety of materials
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

• Temporary to permanent position working 39 hours a week
• Day shift hours 8:00–16:30 Monday–Thursday and 8:00–15:30 Friday
• Pay rate £13.00 per hour
