Drug Discovery, Research Scientist, Data Scientist, Biotechnology
Job Description & How to Apply Below
What if you could help build the molecular data infrastructure behind the next generation of AI-driven chemical discovery?
I'm working with an exciting, venture-backed AI startup that's applying machine learning and computational chemistry to solve some genuinely complex molecular design challenges.
They're looking for a Cheminformatics Scientist who understands molecules, enjoys writing code, and wants to work at the intersection of chemistry, software engineering and AI.
This isn't a traditional bioinformatics role. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience working with small molecules, chemical structures and computational molecular data.
What we're looking for:- Strong Python programming skills, ideally with RDKit or similar cheminformatics toolkits
- Experience working with molecular representations, chemical structures and small-molecule datasets
- An understanding of molecular properties, descriptors, fingerprints or SMILES
- Experience developing automated workflows, tools or data-processing pipelines
- A background in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, molecular modelling or small-molecule drug discovery
You’ll be joining a small, highly technical team where you’ll have genuine ownership, work closely with AI and scientific specialists, and help shape the technology as the company scales.
Competitive salary + equity, dependent on experience
Early-stage, well-funded AI startup
If you've got a chemistry background, know your way around Python and enjoy working with molecular data, I'd love to hear from you.
