It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work: the availability windows.
We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be.
We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we would still love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Know and serve customers with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply training received, working safely and effectively to serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet customer needs at the right time.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand store performance, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live the values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- Greet customers with a smile, build rapport, and ensure they leave with a great shopping experience.
- Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
- Work well within a team, communicate openly with others, and build relationships to create team spirit.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexible hours within the stated availability windows.
