About the Function

Our Sales team builds relationships, connects with customers and sells iconic brands such as Smirnoff, Guinness, Tanqueray, Johnnie Walker, Chase and Casamigos. As a Key Account Executive you will manage key independents and groups in the area, ensuring our customer, category and brand plans are implemented brilliantly in each outlet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the commercial agenda and Diageo performance within the area.
  • Manage 250‑300 outlets directly, delivering spirits and Guinness distribution and securing pouring agreements for the full Diageo portfolio.
  • Coordinate world‑class activation delivered by Brand Activation Ambassadors for your city.
  • Ensure all outlets in your zone are perfectly implemented to our defined outlet execution standards.
  • Maintain customer relationships across your account base and drive new business opportunities within the team.
  • Represent route‑to‑market (RTM) relationships for the city.
  • Track and measure outlet performance and execution levels accurately in CRM systems.
  • Ensure quality and service standards for Guinness Draught with the support of the Quality Executive.
Accountabilities
  • Coordinate performance across the sales territory with Sales Executives, Quality Executives and Brand Activation Ambassadors.
  • Secure distribution & pouring agreements across all outlets.
  • Deliver against a full‑year annual operating plan (FY AOP).
  • Develop customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Own the RTM relationships for the city.
  • Track outlet performance and execution in CRM.
  • Maintain quality and service standards for Guinness Draught.
Qualities & Experience
  • On Trade experience in a similar sales/activation role or outlet management.
  • Strong customer and RTM relationship building skills.
  • Commercial competence: value, forecasting and investment decisions.
  • Knowledge of the city, trade and RTM relationships.
  • Target‑driven mindset with a drive to win.
  • Team coaching, mentoring and leadership abilities.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Agile and comfortable adapting workload to business needs.
Requirements

You must demonstrate you have the right to work in the UK, be over 21 years of age, hold a full, clean driving licence and provide proof of driving experience of at least one year.
