Security Officer

Security Officer at St Andrew’s Healthcare – Birmingham. Salary: £24,078 per annum. 37.5 hour contract – shift cover 24/7.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Security Officer to join our team and contribute towards the continuous delivery of our secure service.

• Maintain security systems and keep accurate records.
• Key management: issue, track and return keys.
• Process staff and visitor access.
• Respond to all emergency incidents – fire and intruder alarms.
• Conduct internal and external patrols of the site.
• Support female patients in our care.

• Working knowledge or experience in the healthcare sector or similar.
• Working knowledge or experience in the security field.
• Good working knowledge of security systems.
• Demonstrate good communication skills.
• Clear verbal and written skills.
• Flexible, reliable and able to work a 12‑hour shift pattern on days or nights.
• Strong customer focus.
• Initiative while adhering to policies and procedures that ensure a safe environment and secure standards.
• Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles (essential).
