Junior-Mid Level Node.js Software Engineer; prior government

We're on the lookout for a curious and motivated Junior-Mid Level Node.js Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with modern technologies, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute to real-world projects from day one.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js
• Work with Kafka and AWS SQS to implement asynchronous messaging between services
• Use Terraform to define infrastructure as code and support automated deployments
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them to AWS ECS
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Integrate authentication and user management with AWS Cognito
• Contribute to version control and CI/CD workflows using Git Lab
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and agile ceremonies to continuously improve quality and delivery
• Learn and grow through hands‑on experience, mentorship, and structured development plans

• Some experience with Node.js and backend development
• Must have worked in government
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous messaging concepts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and containerization tools
• Enthusiasm for infrastructure as code and Dev Ops practices
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from others
• Bonus:
  Exposure to Git Lab CI/CD, Cognito, or Terraform
