HGV Class 1 Driver – Aston, West Midlands People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver based in Aston, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. Shifts
• Monday to Sunday – 5 days out of 7 Rates of Pay
• Basic (Days): £16.50 per hour
• Nights: £17.50 per hour
• Saturday: £18.75 per hour
• Sunday: £20.00 per hour Benefits

• Carrying out deliveries to major RDC supermarket sites
• Operating and driving HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all cargo is correctly loaded and secured
• Adhering to all traffic laws and driving regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Assisting with loading and unloading cargo in line with delivery notes
• Working with fridge trailers as required Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category CE licence
• Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
• Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and time-keeping
• Strong understanding of road transport regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
• Experience working with fridge trailers Training Provided
• Full site induction and training
