Work EnvironmentBased in the Warehouse so you must be comfortable in a warehouse setting/environment. No hybrid working. This is on site Monday-Friday.

Job PurposeWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Inventory Planner to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability, and contributing to retail management systems, as well as proficiency in data analysis tools to make informed decisions that enhance inventory performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain inventory plans that align with business objectives and sales forecasts.
- Monitor stock levels and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Utilise data mining techniques to analyse inventory trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis on discrepancies in inventory records and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including procurement, sales, and logistics, to optimise inventory management processes.
- Manage category management strategies to enhance product availability while minimising excess stock.
- Assist in materials handling processes to ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Raise purchase orders as required and good receipting stock.
- First point of contact for an inventory or planning related queries.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution management principles.
- Proven experience in using ERP or inventory management systems such as Net Suite, Sage, etc.
- Strong IT literacy to include Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Valid forklift license (essential).
- Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Proactive, resourceful and uses experience and initiative to support change.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data sets effectively.
- Experience in materials handling practices and techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
