The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Regional Manager to ensure the effective performance of Employment Plus across the East of England Division, as directed by the Regional Manager. This is a peripatetic role, requiring extensive travel across the designated regions.
You will lead and manage a team of Employability Practitioners, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with all legal, statutory, and organisational requirements. Working collaboratively with the Quality Performance Manager and under the direction of the Regional Manager, you will uphold our mission values and minimum service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Line management of Employability Practitioners across your designated geography, adapting to operational needs.
- Ensure all aspects of business and contract administration are managed in accordance with legal, statutory, and organisational requirements.
- Collaborate with the Quality Performance Manager to maintain high standards and mission alignment.
- Support the implementation of the Regional Strategic Operational Plan and Employment Plus Territorial Strategy.
- Foster strong partnerships with local managers, external stakeholders, and commissioners.
- Promote and represent The Salvation Army’s work to internal and external audiences.
- Support new business development and contract management as required.

Qualifications- Proven success in managing employability services and performance across varied settings.
- Up-to-date expertise in the employability sector, including legislation and best practice.
- Excellent people management, motivating teams and supporting staff development.
- Genuine passion for The Salvation Army’s mission and transformational impact.
- Full UK driving licence and a car is essential.
