PositionMergon UK is looking for a Tool Change Fitter & Setter to join our team in Blackburn. This role involves changing the tools and dies on the production machinery driving a FLT and mechanical repairs.
Hours of Work2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities- Driving a FLT to carry out tool and die changes to blow and injection moulding machines on a busy production shopfloor.
- Inspection of tools and reporting of faults and/or damage to the Engineering department.
- Assisting with basic level mechanical repairs.
- Ensuring the secondary equipment required is available and operating correctly.
- Completing the paperwork associated with tool changes.
- At least 3 years experience; ideally previously worked in a manufacturing environment but not essential.
- FLT driving qualification.
- Lifting and sling experience.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake any necessary training as identified to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role.
