Production Manager

Position: Production Manager (Permanent)

The company is a market leader in its field with a strong history in Blackpool, it prides itself on retention of staff and this position has become available due to internal promotions and thus leaving a gap for a skilled, experienced production manager to fill.

Duties will include

* Management of three production facilities, ensuring seamless coordination, resource allocation, and operational efficiency across all sites.

* Production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet targets for output, quality, and delivery timelines.

* Developing direct reports, and indirect production staff. Taking care of recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive work culture.

* Implement and monitor health & safety and environmental standards to maintain compliance with regulations and promote a safe workplace.

* Optimise manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing or 5S methodologies.

* Monitor and control budgets, inventory, and supply chain activities to minimise costs and waste while maximising productivity.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, introduce new products..

* Analyse production data and KPIs to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and report on performance to senior management.

* Ensure adherence to quality control standards, and customer-specific requirements in a multi-discipline manufacturing setting.

* Drive innovation in production techniques to support scalability and adaptability in diverse manufacturing disciplines, such as assembly, fabrication, and component manufacture
