Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

The Role:
A leading food manufacturing business is currently seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to join the site during an exciting period of growth and transformation. With multiple new and innovative projects scheduled to commence in 2026, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping hygiene standards and supporting the site’s long-term strategy.
The successful Hygiene Manager will be responsible for overseeing all hygiene operations across the site, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and compliance are consistently achieved within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Hygiene Manager will be responsible for:
* Managing and leading the site hygiene team to deliver effective daily and deep-cleaning activities
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety standards, audits, and customer requirements
* Developing and maintaining hygiene schedules, procedures, and best practice
* Managing pest control programs and liaising with external pest control providers
* Investigating hygiene-related issues and implementing corrective actions
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance hygiene performance and efficiency
* Working closely with Technical, QA, and Operations teams
* Contributing to hygiene requirements for upcoming capital projects planned for 2026
* Ensuring all hygiene activities meet health & safety and food hygiene regulations
About the Candidate:
The ideal Hygiene Manager will have:
* Proven experience working as a Hygiene Manager or Senior Hygiene Supervisor within food manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene systems, and audit requirements
* Experience managing pest control programs within a manufacturing environment
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Food Hygiene (essential)
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* A proactive approach with a clear passion for continuous improvement
