Dorset Council is inviting applications for a Family Worker on a temporary contract to support the Return to Social Work scheme. The role is based in Dorset and offers a paid placement of up to six months to complete the required supervised practice days. Successful completion of the placement will provide a pathway to a full Social Worker post at the end of the term.
Whatyou will be doing
You will support our social work team by working directly with children and families. Your duties will include creating, supporting and contributing to multi‑agency plans and interventions to improve outcomes and life chances for children and young people. The role takes a whole‑family approach and will involve working collaboratively across local services.
About You- You must have experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
- You must have been previously registered with a social work body in England (HCPC or Social Work England).
- You will be employed as a Family worker.
- You will be part of a team that works together for a better Dorset.

This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transportation we deem suitable) available for use as needed.
