About the role

To assist the Accounts Manager to control Draeger's finances and accounting records in accordance with external and internal regulatory requirements; to provide accurate and timely reporting to local management and parent company in accordance with Group requirements.

  • Monthly reporting to parent company in accordance with Group reporting requirements including achieving all required deadlines.
  • Propose and implement day to day processes and procedures to drive efficiency and value-for-money.
  • Proactively ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are complete and accurate.
  • Review monthly results and perform variance analysis where applicable. Ensuring discrepancies are resolved and supported by reconciliation backup.
  • Full responsibility for fixed asset records, ensuring accurate and up to date financial records.
  • Specific responsibility for VAT, CIS, Intrastat and related regulatory external reporting.
  • Key User for SAP (FI) and specifically Asset Accounting functionality.
  • Support with annual audit to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • First line support for the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.
  • To check expenses and receipts to ensure they're accurately recorded and carry out ad-hoc reconciliation of accounts.
  • Actively prepare and seek financial information to support business decisions.
  • Process company expense journals and reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Provide cover and support for Accounts Manager.
  • Highly numerate with the ability to deliver financial results, information and have strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skill.

    Your Qualifications Role Requirements Education/Qualifications
    • Degree level or equivalent preferred
    • Qualified Accountant (or qualified by experience) would be an advantage
    Related Experience
    • Understanding of business environment
    • Managing projects
    • Implementing process improvements
    • Able to present and explain complex data in appropriate ways to colleagues at all levels of skill and understanding
    • Training other finance team members
    • Experience of working in an manufacturing environment would be an advantage

    • Advanced Excel

    • VAT, Intrastat and CIS reporting
    • Communicating with non-financial colleagues
    • Knowledge of SAP Finance module
