• Take forward the groundwater investigation and modelling programme, including field investigations, model refinement, and scenario testing for water resources and quality decision‑making.
• Manage projects from initiation through delivery, including securing budgets, obtaining approvals and engaging consultants or in‑house resources.
• Act as a technical lead on groundwater investigations and modelling, keeping up to date with technical developments across the Agency and external partners.
• Coordinate the issuing of intellectual property licences to external organisations wishing to use Agency data, information and models.
• Actively contribute to the wider groundwater modelling community.

• Experience as a water resources specialist who has led groundwater modelling projects and can provide technical leadership.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑value projects, securing budgets and managing consultants or in‑house resources.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills for complex activities.
• Ability to interpret model results and support decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills, able to manage expectations and convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Degree level education in a relevant discipline; higher degree in Hydrology, Hydrogeology or Water Resources Engineering preferred.
